In this section, we are glad to showcase the hard work and skills that MAPPA has given to us through all these years. Starting with how they draw!
They first draw, like in many animation studios, drawings called Sakuga. These drawings are filled with fluidity, direction, and expression, captivating us with the anime that we watch. Take a look!
A sakura animation drawn by MAPPA animators in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 Episode 17!
Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most popular new generations of anime. It has a great story and action, and with MAPPA animating it, it is no surprise it is loved by many.
Sakuga drawing is not only in one episode but in every one of them. It is the building block of animating anime.
Let's go to CGI!
CGI or Computer-Generated Imagery is also used by MAPPA in most of their shows. One great example is Attack on Titan Season 4 Final Parts, where there are many titans that are in CGI. This is to help the animators in animating the anime!
CGI can be a hit or a miss, but MAPPA delivers most of its CGI. One good example is the titans themselves. Although they feel out of place, it still fits!
For it to be fun for you guys, we created an interactive drawing board where you can draw like how MAPPA animators draw!
